Cody and Erin are famous models. Not really... but they should be! These two are as fun and sweet as they are good looking. In fact, between the portraits and the reception, they ran to Walmart and bought frozen foods in their wedding attire, and Erin did a cheerleader stunt IN HER GOWN! (Need to check that off my wedding bucket list!)
I got to sit down with both of them a couple weeks before the wedding. They giggled as they told me how they met on Twitter thanks to Drake. Cody reminisced about having a crush on Erin for four years before he got the nerve to ask her out. About a month or two into their relationship, they both knew this was IT. They were in love and didn't look back. I was SO excited when they told me the theme of their April 15th wedding was Gatsby style! The whole room was filled with dashing men and glamorous women. The MC, a friend of the bride, even serenaded them before the party began. It was a beautiful day, despite rain and wind. The wonderful bridal party made it easy and so much fun! Congratulations, Cody and Erin! Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your big day! Cory & Leslie were married at the beautiful Camp Daggett in Petoskey, MI, this past December. The day was calm and lovely, and simply sweet. Leslie wore a vintage dress given to her by her mother, and Cory wore a vest and jeans and his signature hat. They were joined by many friends and family and, their sister was even able to say hello from Australia via video chat!
Special thanks to my husband for making arrangements with the camp staff for Cory and Leslie to use a canoe for their portraits! And shout out to Leslie for jumping at the chance to climb in that cold canoe in her beautiful dress! Be sure to watch the short video of their wedding reception at the bottom of the page! Jimmy and Keaton offered to trade babysitting with me for a portrait session and as a mom of four, I couldn't turn that down! Besides; it was a good excuse to make use of my property. Keaton asked me to help her with her hair and makeup, so we decided to make an afternoon of it. I absolutely love shooting during the golden hour and our river and field make the perfect backdrop for this sweet session!
If you are interested in booking a portrait session with us, please visit the contact page. While we stick with babysitters we know personally, we do welcome trade offers! If you are a small business owner we are happy to consider an offer to barter. This was a very special session for me. I have known baby Carter's mother Rachel since I was about thirteen years old, so to be able to photograph her maternity and newborn sessions was an incredible honor.
John and Rachel are adorable. I love seeing a daddy all in and hands-on with his baby. Rachel just glows and is incredibly sweet. It's no wonder their tiny boy is already a handsome little heart-breaker! Carter was a dream baby at his session. He slept almost the entire time and let me do almost anything I wanted with him! Mom and Dad are doing fantastic and are off to a great start as brand new parents. Congratulations John and Rachel! PS: You can see Rachel as a 'pregnant snow queen' on the Bliss Sessions page, as well as the live video we shot during Carter's session! A few days ago I spent a little time with Josh, Sarah, big sister Leah, and brand new Laci! This session was incredible. Josh is a Marine, and it was pretty tough to hold back the tears while I captured him in his dress blues uniform holding his tiny girl. Mama Sarah is doing fantastic, and Leah is adorable, learning to be a big sister!
Thank you, Josh, for your service to our country! We are so grateful to you and your precious family! She is tiny next to his tall frame and she seems to fit just perfectly in his hugs. Their love is evident and it's easy to see why their friends and family say they are perfect for each other.
Before their sessions, we met at a local coffee shop and got to know each other a bit. Cory and Leslie are the type of people that make you feel like you've known each other forever. I had the honor of not only shooting their engagement, but also shooting their wedding with Mr. LCP! It was beautiful and I'm looking forward to sharing those images with the world! Kurt and Elizabeth's wedding took place in Petoskey, Michigan, on one of the coldest, snowiest days of December! Poor Elizabeth had to suffer through portraits in a near-blizzard and open-toe sandals, but she was still glowing through it all. (And Kurt was right there to help warm her feet afterward!)
I received a request to photograph this wedding just two weeks in advance, and I'm so glad I was available! This is the second Boucher wedding Mr. LCP and I have had the privilege to photograph (hang tight for the second Boucher blog!), and we really enjoyed ourselves! Kurt was so handsome in his uniform and Elizabeth was absolutely stunning in her mother's wedding dress! The entire celebration felt very nostalgic and made us almost wish we were shooting in black and white film! Thank you, Kurt and Elizabeth, for choosing Laura Crowe Photography! We at LCP would like to humbly thank Kurt Boucher for his service to our country. We are grateful for the freedoms men and women like you continue to protect. |
